Context

Integrated within the Digital Marketing Chapter of the Marketing & Communication department of our client in the Banking & Finance sector, the Digital Marketing Strategies team is responsible for ensuring the effectiveness of digital journeys, increasing online visibility, developing brand awareness, generating leads/sales, and driving business growth through the creation and maintenance of relevant content and architecture on external platforms.

This implies collaborating with IT Tribes through agile ceremonies to maintain a relevant content architecture and future-proof external platforms, as well as digital marketing tools.

Join the team as a Paid Media Marketing Expert, where you will support business development by implementing marketing strategies that address communication and business needs. Your duties will include developing media strategies and tactical media plans in collaboration with media agencies, overseeing negotiations, media buying, optimization, and strategic media initiatives.

Your mission is to develop and maintain a strong media presence and effectiveness, maximizing campaign impact and ensuring the best value for money through negotiation and by challenging external agencies and publishers. You will also stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance media presence.


Function description

As a Paid Media Marketing Expert, your key responsibilities will include:

* Designing, implementing, coordinating and monitoring paid media campaign strategies to support brand image and business objectives
* Defining the best media strategy and media plan
* Challenging business briefings by turning Marcom objectives into media objectives, challenging the target and defining KPIs
* Supporting digital marketing experts in their daily work within clusters
* Challenging the media agency on media strategy and tactical media plans
* Developing and maintaining relationships with sales houses to stay informed about market opportunities
* Sharing the client’s needs with media partners to create tailor-made media solutions
* Ensuring a smooth process from media strategy to campaign evaluation
* Evaluating each campaign and sharing learnings to define new objectives
* Ensuring best value for money by challenging media budgets and consolidating annual media budget deals
* Challenging media agencies and sales houses during yearly and/or punctual negotiations
* Following up on budgets and ensuring agencies respect negotiated deals
* Optimizing and reducing costs
* Identifying best practices per medium, competition analysis and media evolution
* Working in close collaboration with creative agencies
* Informing stakeholders of potential campaign success or failure
* Managing contracts and ensuring respect of agreements with media partners
* Ensuring correct reporting and invoicing
* Coordinating the implementation of tagging and measurement attributes with the analytics team

Languages

* Dutch or French: fluent
* English: fluent

Education

* Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field

Certification

* Relevant certifications in paid media platforms such as Google Ads, CM360, DV360 and Social Media Ads platforms

Telework

* 2 days on-site & 3 days homeworking

Required experience / knowledge

* At least 10+ years of experience in digital marketing
* Preferably experience in a financial services or banking environment


Technical experience mandatory

* High expertise in media planning, media buying and negotiation
* Experience in digital marketing
* Knowledge of media buying and negotiation
* Familiarity with SAP, QAP and agile ceremonies
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills


Technical experience preferable

* Strong experience in digital transformation
* Strong focus on project delivery

Business experience mandatory

* Expertise in agile methodologies
* Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
* Problem-solving and analytical capabilities
* Strong stakeholder management, especially with marketing and IT teams
* Ability to work in complex, fast-paced digital marketing environments

Business experience preferable

* Familiarity with banking operations or financial products
* Understanding of digital marketing concepts and terminology
