About the Role
To support our growth, we are looking for a Business Developer who thrives on building new markets and generating opportunities from scratch. This is a hands-on, front-end commercial role for someone who combines technical understanding with a drive to open doors, qualify leads, and turn conversations into concrete business. Responsibilities
* Drive outbound prospecting and lead generation in targeted sectors and regions
* Identify, approach, and qualify new prospects through research, outreach, networking, and industry engagement
* Build and maintain a structured pipeline of high-quality opportunities
* Understand client challenges and translate them into tailored, solution-oriented proposals
Qualifications
At least 3 years of experience in B2B business development or sales, with a strong focus on new business.
Required Skills
* Proven ability to build a pipeline through proactive outreach and networking
* Experience managing a sales funnel from lead generation to closing
* Strong communication skills: able to engage both technical experts and decision-makers
Preferred Skills
* A background in groundwater, soil remediation, or environmental consulting is essential
* You understand the challenges faced by our clients and can speak their language
* Preferably a background as a (hydro)geologist or similar
* Experience with CSRD or environmental reporting is a plus
