Your role
As a supplier development engineer, you will play a key role in managing and developing suppliers for service products such as lubricants, filters and belts. You will be part of the Service division of Compressor Technique, where our mission is to achieve optimal component availability so customers receive timely and high-quality service.
Reporting to the Team Leader, you will join an inclusive and collaborative team of buyers. In this role, the supplier development engineer focuses on supplier relationship management, purchasing strategy and sustainable sourcing. You will explore and optimize existing and new supply chains based on the six pillars of purchasing excellence: total cost, quality, logistics, product and process development, contracting and sustainability.
You will develop purchasing strategies in line with divisional targets, gain in-depth knowledge of commodities and suppliers, and ensure consistent availability of aftermarket components. By conducting market research, benchmarking suppliers and identifying improvement opportunities, you will drive value creation and secure a reliable, innovative supplier base.
You will also work closely with Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA) engineers to improve quality and logistics performance, lead negotiations on supply agreements and participate in projects for aftermarket compressors and compressor rooms to meet budgets and deadlines. Your work will directly contribute to the digital acceleration of our connected compressor network — with more than 300,000 compressors already linked to the cloud, generating data that helps us optimize service intervals and create new business opportunities.

* Master's degree in engineering, business or supply chain management
* Strong understanding of supplier management and sourcing processes
* Fluent in English; knowledge of another European language is a plus
* Passion for innovation, technology and sustainable sourcing
* Experience with Microsoft Office and Office 365 (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint)
* Knowledge of AS400 or SAP is an asset
