ObjectivesThe Finance Manager is responsible for financial governance, legal and tax compliance, reporting and the strategic leadership of the finance function within the country and/or local entities. The role acts as the guardian of reliable financial information and a trusted business partner to local Management and Group functions, ensuring compliance with local laws, international regulations and internal policies.Summary of ResponsibilitiesEnsure subsidiaries comply with local laws, the Group Code of Conduct and Group policiesSafeguard timely preparation, audit and filing of statutory accountsOversee corporate tax filings and compliance with local tax legislationManage local liquidity in line with Group policies and supervise bank accounts and mandatesReport ongoing or potential litigation and ensure implementation of compliance policies locallyOversee local pension plans for compliance and alignment with Group policiesLead monthly closings, annual budget processes and actively participate in management meetingsManage, motivate and develop the local finance team in BelgiumScope of decision makingThe Finance Manager has the authority to make decisions regarding financial reporting, compliance, liquidity management and operational financial activities. Strategic decisions with broader impact, such as changes in capital structure, tax planning strategies, or treasury operations, require consultation with the Country Officer Benelux and/or the Group CFO.
