Reporting & insights lead

The Reporting & Insights Lead is responsible for defining, governing, and continuously evolving the global FP&A reporting and insights landscape. This role serves as the central point of contact for all FP&A reporting matters globally and ensures that reporting across the organization is standardized, scalable, automated, and insight-driven. Acting as a strategic bridge between FP&A, Digital & Transformation, and Systems teams, the role translates business requirements into sustainable digital solutions and ensures a single source of truth across performance reporting.

Key Responsibilities

1. Global FP&A Reporting Strategy & Governance

1. Serve as the central point of contact for all FP&A reporting matters globally.

2. Define and continuously evolve the FP&A reporting strategy and overall landscape.

3. Drive consistency and standardization across quarterly reporting pack, forecast reporting, KPI frameworks, management dashboards and other self-service reports

4. Establish governance over reporting templates, data definitions, financial hierarchies, KPI logic

5. Ensure reporting alignment across regions and functional FP&A teams.

6. Continuously assess reporting relevance and eliminate low-value or duplicative reporting.

7. Ensure a “single source of truth” across the FP&A ecosystem.

2. Insights & Analytics Strategy

8. Define and drive the overarching strategy for insights generation across the FP&A community and work closely with other communities to ensure seamless integration in the overall insight strategy.

9. Shift reporting from descriptive to insight-driven performance analysis.

10. Partner with FP&A teams and through close collaboration with business stakeholders: identify reporting gaps, detect performance blind spots, generate actionable insights

11. Elevate the analytical maturity of the FP&A function.

3. Digital & Transformation Partnership

12. Act as a strategic partner to the Digital & Transformation community.

13. Translate business reporting requirements into scalable digital solutions.

14. Proactively collaborate with Digital Technology teams, Systems teams, Data & Analytics teams

15. Drive automation and reduce manual reporting dependencies.

16. Ensure reporting infrastructure is sustainable and future-ready.

4. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Reporting Projects

17. Serve as the central intake and coordination point for all reporting requirements and initiatives within FP&A.

18. Facilitate strong cross-functional collaboration across FP&A sub-teams (R&D, Commercial, Global, Regions, Systems teams, PMO, Digital Transformation, Business stakeholders

19. Ensure reporting initiatives follow clear governance and prioritization.

20. Balance ad-hoc reporting needs with long-term architectural integrity.

5. Reporting Landscape Optimization

21. Drive harmonization of finance & finance-related data definitions and reporting logic across teams and close collaboration with data & analytics teams on alignment of non-finance related data points consumed in reporting

22. Reduce duplication, parallel reporting, and inconsistent KPI calculations.

23. Improve scalability and automation across reporting tools.

24. Support implementation of dashboards and BI solutions.

25. Ensure data integrity and reliability in executive reporting.

26. Deep understanding of customer needs reflected in reporting, planning & decision support focused on impactful reporting

27. Standardized, scalable global reporting framework.

30. Strong integration between FP&A and Digital/Systems.

31. Reporting that drives decision-making rather than just describes performance.

32. Clear governance over all reporting initiatives.

Essential Experience

33. 5+ years in FP&A, reporting, or analytics, ideally in biotech/pharma where decision‑making relies on complex scientific, commercial, and operational data.

34. Demonstrated ability to design and govern enterprise reporting landscapes and KPI frameworks.

35. Strong experience with BI tools and reporting automation in fast‑changing environments.

Technical Strengths

36. Deep understanding of data definitions, hierarchies, and cross‑functional harmonization, including finance & non‑finance datasets typical in biotech (e.g., vial‑level data, forecast drivers, R&D program structures).

37. Ability to shift reporting from descriptive to insight‑driven, enabling value‑add decisions across teams.

38. Capable of translating business needs into scalable digital solutions in close partnership with Systems/DT.

Leadership & Culture

39. Natural coordinator across FP&A communities (R&D, Commercial, Regions) and business partners.

40. Structured communicator capable of reducing noise, eliminating duplication, and raising analytical maturity.

The annual base salary hiring range for this position is €100,000.00 - €137,500.00 EUR

This job is eligible to participate in our short-term and long-term incentives program.

The hiring range displayed above is the range of possible base pay compensation that argenx believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting. The hiring range is based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range depends on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, internal equity, prior education and experience, job-related knowledge and demonstrated skills. argenx may pay more or less than the posted range and this range may be modified in the future.
