Job Description
As Head of Accounting, the following tasks fall under your responsibility:
Operational accounting and processing of financial transactions
Internalizing the accounting (via handover consultants)
Sparring partner for the CFO and Head of Controlling
Preparing the VAT return
Autonomous preparation and submission of the annual accounts
Submitting the corporate tax return
Ensuring compliance and monitoring fiscal obligations
Managing monthly and annual closures
Contact point for external audits
Implementing process improvements
Building expertise in ERP (SAP)
Monthly reporting to management
The Successful Applicant
To be considered for this role, you should ideally meet the following criteria:
Master/Bachelor in Finance, Business Administration, or Economics
At least 5 years of experience as a Senior GL Accountant
Fluent in Dutch and English, French is a plus
Analytical thinking
Able to apply financial insight in a critical way
Thriving in a collaborative and dynamic work environment
