Overview
We are seeking an experienced Network Security Engineer to support a manufacturing client in Brussels. This is a hands-on role focused on securing, supporting, and optimising enterprise network and security infrastructure across IT and production environments.
Responsibilities
* Design, implement, and support secure network infrastructure
* Manage firewalls, VPNs, routing, switching, and network segmentation
* Support security technologies including IDS/IPS, NAC, and secure remote access
* Maintain and improve IT/OT network security and segmentation
* Investigate incidents, perform vulnerability remediation, and support security hardening
* Collaborate with infrastructure and operations teams on security initiatives
* Support documentation, change management, and continuous improvement
Required Skills
* Strong network security engineering experience
* Expertise in TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF
* Hands-on experience with Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Check Point or similar
* Strong knowledge of firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and network segmentation
* Experience in enterprise xphnsxz or manufacturing/OT environments preferred
* Knowledge of ISO 27001, NIST, or IEC 62443 is a plus
Desirable
* Zero Trust or cloud security exposure (Azure/AWS)
* Automation/scripting (Python, Ansible)
* Certifications such as CCNP Security, PCNSE, CISSP
Profile
* Hands-on and practical approach
* Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
* Fluent in French or Dutch (mandatory)
