Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager – OT Infrastructure / Senior Network & Security Engineer with strong expertise in Cisco networking and Palo Alto firewall technologies.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for end-to-end L3 support, operational management, troubleshooting, and governance of enterprise network and network security environments across datacenter, branch, hybrid, and OT infrastructure landscapes.
Key Responsibilities
Network Operations (Cisco)
Provide L3 support for enterprise network infrastructure including Cisco routers, switches, WAN/LAN, datacenter, and branch connectivity
Troubleshoot advanced networking issues involving:
Routing & Switching
VLANs & Trunking
STP
HSRP / VRRP
ACLs
BGP / OSPF / Static Routing
Packet Loss & Latency
Link Flaps & Asymmetric Routing
Support network migrations, cutovers, onboarding activities, and service changes
Monitor network utilization, interface errors, and overall network performance
Network Security Operations (Palo Alto)
Provide L3 support for Palo Alto firewall environments
Manage firewall policies, NAT, VPN, policy tuning, and traffic flow analysis
Troubleshoot firewall-related issues impacting application communication and connectivity
Support Panorama-managed environments and firewall governance activities
Coordinate implementation of security controls aligned with enterprise standards
Incident, Change & Problem Management
Lead P1/P2 incident handling for network and security-related services
Act as escalation point for major outages and recurring service issues
Conduct root cause analysis and define corrective/preventive actions
Execute planned changes with proper validation, rollback planning, and governance
Ensure service restoration checks and change documentation are completed
Operations & Governance
Manage operational activities across networking and security domains
Drive SLA compliance, escalation handling, and operational prioritization
Mentor L1/L2 engineers and support knowledge transfer initiatives
Coordinate with customers, ISPs, OEMs, cloud teams, and internal technical teams
Maintain SOPs, network diagrams, firewall documentation, and implementation standards
Support audit, compliance, vulnerability remediation, and hardening initiatives
Identify opportunities for optimization, standardization, and operational improvements
Required Qualifications
8+ years of experience in enterprise network and network security operations
Strong hands‑on expertise in Cisco networking technologies
Strong hands‑on expertise in Palo Alto firewalls
Good understanding of:
Routing & Switching
VLANs, Trunking, STP
OSPF / BGP
ACLs
NAT & VPN
Network Segmentation
Firewall Policy Evaluation
Packet Flow Analysis
Experience in enterprise datacenter, branch, and hybrid network environments
Strong troubleshooting skills across networking and security layers
Excellent incident management and stakeholder coordination skills
Strong analytical, documentation, and reporting capabilities
Ability to independently handle L3 escalations and high-priority incidents
Note: For this position, Dutch and English communication proficiency mandatory.
Preferred Skills
Exposure to cloud connectivity and cloud security integrations
Experience with monitoring tools and security log analysis
Scripting or automation exposure for operational efficiency
Vendor coordination and escalation management experience
Familiarity with OT or industrial infrastructure environments
