Our firm’s European Competition practice in Brussels seeks a Senior Associate/Consultant with expertise in competition economics to join a fast‑growing team. The role requires strong analytical skills, ability to manage both qualitative and quantitative engagement work streams, and a passion for rigorous research.
Responsibilities Execute and oversee engagement work streams, both qualitative and quantitative.
Clean and prepare data for analysis.
Design and implement statistical and econometric analyses.
Perform rigorous quality‑control checks.
Develop and deliver client‑ready materials, including data visualisations and reports.
Conduct industry and market research and review relevant literature and case law.
Present findings to clients and internal stakeholders.
Develop project‑management skills and communicate results effectively.
Support and supervise interns or junior staff.
Participate in internal and external business‑development projects, such as contributing to opinion pieces, conferences, and workshops.
Qualifications Advanced degree (M.A., M.Sc., Ph.D.) in Economics or related field from a leading university.
Desire to work in economic consultancy; trainees from the European Commission may be considered.
Strong knowledge of competition economics, micro‑economics, and industrial organisation.
Experience with data handling, statistical and econometric analyses.
Proficient in Excel and statistical software/programming languages such as R, Stata, or Python.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and German.
Knowledge of additional languages (French, Spanish, Italian, Polish, etc.) is an asset.
Attention to detail, positive can‑do attitude, and proactive engagement with colleagues.
