Role Overview
We are seeking a senior Application Architect to lead a technical audit of a large-scale distributed platform built on Java/Spring Boot microservices, Angular frontends, Kafka-based event streaming, and PostgreSQL databases. The role focuses on evaluating architecture quality, scalability, resilience, data consistency, technical debt, and operational risks while delivering strategic recommendations to support future evolution.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the audit of a complex microservices ecosystem and its supporting architecture.
Assess service decomposition, inter-service communication, and distributed data consistency patterns.
Evaluate scalability, resilience, observability, performance, and maintainability.
Review Java/Spring Boot applications, PostgreSQL databases, Kafka integrations, and batch processing mechanisms.
Identify architectural risks, technical debt, and operational weaknesses.
Analyze data migration and document migration strategies and associated risks.
Produce executive-level reports, risk assessments, and prioritized recommendations.
Coordinate audit activities and present findings to technical teams and governance stakeholders.
Required Skills & Experience
Proven expertise in Java/Spring Boot and microservices architectures.
Strong knowledge of distributed systems, event-driven architectures, and consistency patterns (Outbox/Inbox, Idempotency, Saga/Choreography).
Experience leading complex technical audits and architecture assessments.
Strong understanding of performance, resilience, observability, and scalability principles.
Excellent analytical, communication, stakeholder management, and executive reporting skills.

French: Professional proficiency (C2)
Work Environment
Hybrid working model.

Approximately 30% on-site presence required during audit workshops, assessment phases, and final presentations.
