ICT SAP Project Manager – Supply ChainInitial 1 year contract (freelance) + possibility of extensionLeuven, Belgium (3 days onsite/week)40 hours/weekASAP startFluent English & Dutch Overview:We are seeking a dynamic and experienced ICT SAP Project Manager - Supply chain to lead a strategic SAP project shaping the future of Enterprise Asset Management. The project involves transitioning from legacy systems to a new SAP Asset Management platform while driving broader organizational change.The role requires an experienced professional to manage SAP projects end-to-end, ensuring delivery within scope, timeline, budget, and quality standards. The candidate will act as a true project owner, leading execution, governance, and decision-making across cross-functional teams, and navigating complex stakeholder environments with a strong focus on delivery.A solid balance between business understanding and IT delivery is essential, along with the ability to translate SAP concepts into clear, actionable project plans.The assignment:Project Planning & Coordination:Define and maintain an up-to-date, comprehensive project plan that identifies deliverables, work breakdown structure, timelines, resources, risks, and dependencies.Coordinate, motivate, and support the project team to achieve objectives effectively.Vendor Management:Manage and coordinate ICT vendors (software, hardware, and consultancy) to ensure alignment with project goals.Governance & Reporting:Establish required project governance, organizing project team meetings and steering committees.Present key elements for decision-making at steering committees, including impacts and alternatives.Regularly report on project progress, budget, risks, and issues to the ICT Business Partner, Team Leader, and ICT PMO Manager.Execution Excellence:Ensure projects are executed in line with agreed standards and methodology, including quality gating and thorough testing before release to production.Proactively identify risks and implement mitigation plans to address challenges effectively.Change Management:Lead communication, training, and post-go-live support to ensure successful adoption of the new SAP Asset Management solution.Handover to Operations:Ensure knowledge transfer and operational handover before project closure.Single Point of Contact:Act as the primary contact for both internal and external stakeholders involved in the project.Required skills and knowledge:Education & Experience:Deep end-to-end understanding of planning, sourcing, manufacturing, delivery, finance, and master data processes.More than 10 years of SAP project management experience.Understanding of the integrations with SAP EWM, MM, Finance and Logistics is a plus.Experience with SAP implementation in the areas of Supply Chain Management or Asset Management is a strong advantage.A Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.Extensive track record in project and change management, including project delivery in complex environments.Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (e.G. SAP Activate, PRINCE2, SAFe), applied pragmatically.Skills:Team player with a no-nonsense attitude and the ability to motivate and coordinate diverse teams.Strong analytical skills for planning, budgeting, and problem-solving.Excellent communication skills, capable of building relationships with stakeholders at all levels.Fluent in English with a good knowledge of Dutch.Technical Tools Expertise:Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 tools (SharePoint, Teams, PowerApps, OneDrive, etc.).Experience with Azure DevOps is a significant advantage.Preferred Experience:Familiarity with SAP implementation in a high valued asset industry.Previous experience working in complex, fast-paced environments.
