Challenges we trust you with
As an electromechanical expert, you will have 3 main missions:
1. Simple design change
For this mission you will
· Be the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) when a design change is requested by a device owner and is intended for the Mechanical and Electrical Offices. Example: obsolescence of a connector, fixing holes not of the good size on a manufactured part, error on a drawing or a supplier specification…,
· Gather all the data needed, the ins and the outs,
· Analyze the problem with all the teams, including in terms of impacts with the Automation software,
· Be the leader for solving the problem asap.
If the change request can lead to a solution that have no technical impact (fit, form and function replacement), then the next steps for you will be to
· Find the good solution,
· Analyze all downstream impacts the change can have on parts and documents,
· Design the solution inside the design tool: Siemens NX, Teamcenter, Eplan, Word, Excel…,
· Deliver documents updates as drawing, specifications, bill of materials, deployment work instructions…,
· Ensure completeness and consistency,
· Review the solution with other experts,
· Trace changes inside the tracking tool Jira,
· Transfer change to Operations department for applicability.
2. Feedback from the field
For this mission you will
· Supply feedback from the field to electrical and mechanical teams through design review,
· Update good practices library.
3. Contribution to internal tool or process improvement
Depending on your level of experience, for this mission you will
· Participate to internal tool or process improvement requirements,
· Test the improvement,
· Supply feedback to the owner of the improvement.
