Job Family Definition
Responsible for defining and executing the organization’s tax strategy, with emphasis on direct taxes and corporate income tax compliance in Brazil. Ensures adherence to applicable tax laws and regulations, supports tax planning initiatives, and partners with internal and external stakeholders to manage tax risk and optimize the company’s tax position.
Management Level Definition
Recognized as a subject matter expert in tax, operating with a high degree of autonomy in a complex, multinational environment. Leads projects and cross-functional initiatives that impact business outcomes. Provides guidance and mentorship as needed, while acting primarily as an individual contributor and functional expert.
Responsibilities
* Oversee and support corporate income tax compliance and reporting activities in Brazil.
* Prepare and review complex tax calculations, provisions, and filings.
* Provide technical tax guidance to internal stakeholders, including Finance, Controllership, and Business teams.
* Support transfer pricing matters, including documentation and alignment with current regulations.
* Manage and coordinate tax audits and interactions with tax authorities.
* Collaborate closely with external advisors to ensure compliance and support tax planning initiatives.
* Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess potential business impacts.
* Contribute to tax planning, forecasting, and risk management activities.
* Support tax accounting processes and ensure appropriate treatment for financial reporting purposes.
* Lead or participate in tax-related projects and process improvements.
Education And Experience Required
* Bachelor’s degree in Law (preferred) or related field.
* Experience in tax, with solid exposure to Brazilian tax regulations.
* Previous experience in the technology industry is desirable.
* Background in accounting and tax reporting.
Knowledge And Skills
* Strong knowledge of Brazilian corporate income tax and general tax principles.
* Familiarity with transfer pricing concepts.
* Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Business-oriented mindset with the ability to translate technical topics into practical insights.
