Offshore Construction ManagerThe Offshore Construction Manager will report directly to the Offshore Works Lead and will coordinate a team of site representatives and discipline engineers.The role includes responsibility for:Monitoring contractor compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental requirements through a risk-based approach, supported by HSE personnel.Overseeing quality assurance and quality control activities, with support from dedicated QC resources and the onshore project team.Tracking construction progress and providing regular reporting.Planning and coordinating offshore staffing requirements for site representatives.Supporting recruitment, onboarding, and integration of new site personnel.Reviewing construction methodologies, work procedures, risk assessments, and execution plans.Identifying project risks and opportunities proactively and developing mitigation or improvement measures.Acting as the primary site interface between the project owner and the EPC contractor for daily construction matters.Coordinating closely with offshore discipline engineers and onshore specialists covering civil, marine, project management, HSE, quality, and contract management disciplines.Scope of Offshore ActivitiesThe position will focus on supervising and coordinating activities including:Completion of reinforced concrete structures, formwork, and concrete works for marine infrastructure.Rock placement and protection works.Harbour and marine facility outfitting.General civil and marine construction activities associated with offshore asset completion.Candidate ProfileExperience & Technical SkillsMinimum 10 years of relevant construction experience.Strong background in large-scale civil engineering projects.Offshore construction experience is considered highly advantageous.Knowledge of structural systems and corrosion protection methods is a strong asset.Familiarity with multidisciplinary environments including electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, and telecommunications systems is beneficial.Degree in Engineering, preferably Civil Engineering.Personal CompetenciesExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills.Strong team-oriented mindset.Structured and methodical approach to work.Fast learner with the ability to adapt quickly in dynamic project environments.Determined, resilient, and solution-focused.Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.Experience with document management systems such as Aconex is advantageous.Certifications & TrainingThe successful candidate should possess or be able to obtain:Offshore medical certification.BOSIET or equivalent offshore survival training.Boat transfer / vessel access training.LanguagesFluent English is mandatory.Knowledge of Dutch and/or French is considered an advantage.Work Location & Rotation PatternCandidates should preferably be based in Belgium or the Netherlands.During offshore campaigns, accommodation will be provided on the offshore facility in single-occupancy cabins with shared bathroom facilities.
