Groupe Dehon is recruiting a Legal Counsel to support our subsidiaries in Northern Europe (Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, and overseas activities). You’ll act as a true Business Partner to our operational leaders, ensuring legal compliance and guiding decision-making across the region.
Your Mission
Reporting to the Group Legal Department, you will:
* Provide legal advice to management and operational teams in matters of Business Law
* Draft, analyze, and negotiate commercial contracts in close collaboration with subsidiary Directors
* Prevent legal risks and ensure regulatory compliance (including ESG and GDPR)
* Manage legal files related to contracts, disputes, and regulatory frameworks
* Keep stakeholders informed and trained on legal topics and new regulations
* Coordinate with local legal advisors and report activities and risks to the Group
Your Profile
* Master’s degree in Business Law or equivalent
* Around 7 years’ experience in a similar in-house role, ideally in an industrial and multicultural context
* Fluent in French and English; Dutch is a strong asset
* Solid knowledge of Belgian law and contract law
* Familiarity with Dutch and German legislation is a plus
* Experience in compliance topics (IT/cybersecurity, ESG) is a nice-to-have but not the core of the role
* Autonomous, diplomatic, proactive, and capable of working with a high level of independence while building trusted partnerships across functions
