Mechanical Technician – 5-Axis Machining EquipmentLocation: Hainaut, South BelgiumWork Setup: OnsiteContract Type: Freelance / ZZPContract Length: 12 monthsStart: ImmediateA leading advanced manufacturing company is looking for a Mechanical Technician to support maintenance and troubleshooting activities across a highly automated machining environment.The site operates large-scale 5-axis machining centres used for precision manufacturing and is looking for hands-on technicians capable of maintaining and optimising complex production equipment.Industry experience is not essential, however direct experience working with 5-axis CNC machinery is considered critical.Role ResponsibilitiesPerform preventive and corrective maintenance on 5-axis machining centresTroubleshoot mechanical faults across CNC production equipmentSupport machine overhauls, repairs and technical modificationsCarry out inspections and condition assessments of critical equipmentWork closely with production teams to minimise downtime and maximise machine availabilitySupport commissioning and installation of new equipment where requiredContribute to reliability and continuous improvement initiatives across the facilityRequirementsExperience as a Mechanical Technician within an industrial manufacturing environmentStrong experience working with 5-axis CNC machinesExperience troubleshooting mechanical systems, drives, bearings, spindles and machine componentsAbility to read technical drawings and maintenance documentationStrong practical problem-solving skillsFrench mandatory
