Job Function: Supply Chain Engineering Job Sub Function: Repair & Maintenance Engineering Job Category: People Leader All Job Posting Locations: Beerse (Antwerp, Belgium); Cork (Ireland); Geel (Antwerp, Belgium); Latina (Italy); Leiden (Netherlands) The Lead, Global Reliability Engineering is responsible for defining and driving the global reliability vision for Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine, with a primary focus on advancing predictive maintenance technologies and enabling practical technology adoption that improves equipment uptime and asset performance. This role partners closely with manufacturing sites to identify, prioritize, and lead high‑impact reliability programs, accelerating digital reliability maturity and strengthening operational performance across the network. Key Responsibilities
Establish the global reliability strategy, with predictive maintenance and advanced analytics as the long‑term north star. Lead identification, development, and deployment of reliability technologies (PdM, condition monitoring, AI/ML insights, sensor technologies, digital twins). Accelerate adoption of scalable, practical technologies that measurably enhance equipment uptime and reduce unplanned downtime. Partner with sites to identify critical reliability risks and lead high‑visibility, high‑value reliability programs focused on chronic issues, systemic failures, and performance bottlenecks. Build global standards, frameworks, and best practices for reliability, including RCA, asset criticality, and lifecycle reliability processes. Leverage performance data, KPIs, and digital dashboards to drive transparency, benchmarking, and targeted interventions. Collaborate with Global Maintenance, Automation, and IT teams to ensure reliability technology integration with CMMS, ERP, and data platforms. Provide expert guidance to sites on predictive maintenance strategy, implementation, and capability building. Support the development of long‑range asset‑reliability roadmaps aligned with digital and operational trends. Coach a network of reliability engineers and experts, strengthening technical capabilities across manufacturing sites. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technical discipline; advanced degree preferred. 10–15+ years of experience in reliability engineering, maintenance engineering, or technical operations in regulated manufacturing environments. Strong expertise in predictive maintenance technologies, condition monitoring, and digital reliability tools. Demonstrated ability to lead complex, cross‑site reliability programs and deliver measurable performance improvements. Experience with RCA methodologies, criticality analysis, lifecycle asset management, and reliability frameworks. Familiarity with digital systems such as CMMS, asset‑performance platforms, and industrial data architectures. Strong influencing, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills with ability to collaborate across functions and global teams. Strong business and operational acumen; experience in GMP manufacturing environments strongly preferred. Base Pay Range
€96,000.00 - €165,025.00 Benefits
