This role is based at our corporate office in Sao Paulo, Brazil
This is your chance to join our dynamic and growing team at Hilton's Corporate Office in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Reporting to the Senior Manager Accounting in Miami, your role will include duties for accounting and tax. In partnership with the Brazil Finance SSO lead, your responsibilities will also encompass forecasting, budgets, cash management, legal, and people management.
What you’ll do during a typical day:
* Complete monthly financial close including journals, schedules and month end reports.
* Prepare general ledger account reconciliations (e.g., bank accounts, credit card activity, assets, and liabilities).
* Maintain accounts receivable and account payable - payments to domestic and international suppliers.
* Prepare payroll - support processing and control procedures.
* Monthly forecasting and review of departmental expenses.
How you’ll collaborate with others:
* You will work with important partners - including hotel and corporate leaders in Finance, Human Resources and Operations along with external partners such as auditors, tax advisors and legal. Your collaboration will involve reporting and data gathering, resolving queries, and supporting prompt decision-making.
Projects you’ll take ownership of:
* Annual Budget including Roster review and expense input for 19 departments.
* Prepare and support the filing of tax returns (including transfer pricing) in compliance with Hilton and local statutory requirements.
* Support Compliance reviews including annual audits.
* Update yourself regarding Brazilian Tax Reform.
* Lead departments improvements (regional projects)
What It Takes to Make the Stay
You have these minimum qualifications:
* Professional qualification in accounting.
* Five (5) or more years of experience in similar role.
* English proficiency (written and spoken) required.
It would be useful if you have:
* Experience in Hotel Accounting.
* Experience at a Big 4 firm
