Job Description - Roles and Responsibilities

Job responsibilities

RESULT AREAS

* Planning, coordinating and implementing the HR policy and the various HR projects within the management
* Fulfilment of personnel needs and personnel movements
* Coordinates, discusses and processes the inventory of personnel needs in consultation with the director
* Gives advice on the method of implementation (channels, timing, potential partners, etc.)
* Coordinates the execution of recruitment activities within the management
* Guides jury members in the selection process (drawing up interview guidelines, facilitating dialogue, motivation, decision, etc.)
* Employee guidance (new employees, redeployments)
* Organizes the necessary activities within the onboarding process, takes actions if necessary
* Follows up on employees who return to work after a long-term illness
* Investigate reorientation possibilities for employees who can no longer take up their position in collaboration with the reorientation unit.
* Organises and leads consultations with, among others, employees, social services, occupational physicians and manager(s) in the context of medical reassignments, early retirements and follow-up of long-term absentees

Training & Development:

* Detects general needs and requirements of employees and/or line management, discusses them with line management and provides feedback to the HR Department
* Provides input for the design of the T&O programme
* Coordinates and implements the training activities within the management
* Follows training courses, evaluates and provides feedback to the HR department in the context of adjustments and evaluations of lecturers/training partners


Performance management

* Follows up on the planning and evaluation cycles within his own management
* Monitors the correct translation of the business strategy
* Set up actions to facilitate the process
* Leaving employment (dismissal procedures)
* Supports and advises managers in their decision-making process
* Conducts exit interviews in the event of resignation
* Supports the Staffing cell in drawing up the file and carrying out the required steps
* Personnel Regulations – Labour Regulations
* Implements the changes in personnel policy
* Coordinates the necessary activities in the context of changes in the labour regulations


Guidance, advice and handling of specific cases

* Handles individual cases
* Handles and resolves specific HR issues/issues in the local offices in consultation with line management and HR colleagues
* Advice and guidance to managers
* Advises and supports the manager and director in the implementation of the HR policy, such as performance reviews, terms of employment policy, development, etc.
* Advice and guidance to employees (e.g. in case of questions about internal mobility, difficult employment relationships, questions about individual development...)
* Mediates in conflicts and difficult labour relations


Implementing and supporting change processes

* Actively participates/is the local leader of HR change processes: is the point of contact within the management, takes care of the flow of information, coordinates the related activities, guides managers, employees and departments in the implementation of the changes
* Encourages and uses best practices to optimize HR policy within management

* Evaluates the progress of the implementation, reports on it and makes adjustments where necessary
* Guides and coaches others in change


Communication and consultation

* It is a sounding board for line management and HR colleagues
* It is a point of contact and sounding board for managers and employees for HR questions
* Informs employees and managers about HR-related topics
* Detects what is going on in the workplace feeds needs, evaluations and concerns from the workplace back to the HR department


Providing input from your own field of work to the HR work domain

* Feeds back the detected difficulties and concerns from the shop floor to the HR department and helps look for solutions
* Acts as a sounding board to the HR team managers in the development of the HR policy
* Identifies the needs and requirements of line management and director with regard to various HR domains
* Evaluates and suggests optimizations


Leading small HR-related projects and/or project participation (will be rather limited in this replacement assignment)

* Participates in projects
* Contributes to the content of the project
* Plans, organizes and controls the project activities to be carried out
* Monitors the progress of the project, makes the necessary adjustments and escalates problems if the project threatens to deviate from the predetermined schedule/budget/quality
* Participates in cross-functional project groups


Expanding the knowledge and making it available to the team to maintain the level of knowledge

* Keeps abreast of new developments in the field of work
* Informs colleagues about new developments within the field
* Actively participates in knowledge-sharing moments (through internal training – work meetings, etc.)
* Helps colleagues with professional content
