Analyze and assess risks associated with various insurance proposals to ensure appropriate coverage and pricing. Utilize comprehensive knowledge of underwriting principles to evaluate submissions and underwrite accounts that align with company guidelines. Work with Lloyds, MGA, and other stakeholders to broaden your understanding and enhance underwriting processes. Engage in direct interactions with brokers to discuss insurance portfolios, coverage options, and tailor solutions to meet specific client needs. Develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers to facilitate effective communication and partnership opportunities. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless operations and provide exceptional customer service. Continuously monitor market trends and adjust underwriting standards to remain competitive. Provide mentoring and guidance to junior underwriters, sharing expertise and promoting best practices. Assist in preparing reports and presentations to communicate underwriting decisions and strategies to stakeholders. Qualifications
Fluency in Dutch and/or French and exceptional command of English. Over a decade of professional experience in underwriting, demonstrating expertise in risk assessment and evaluation. Well‑versed in Anglo‑Saxon insurance frameworks, showcasing deep understanding of their principles and applications. Strong analytical skills enabling effective decision‑making and strategic planning. Solid grasp of market trends and regulatory frameworks affecting the insurance industry. Excellent communication abilities, fostering collaboration with diverse teams and building strong client relationships. Proactive approach to problem‑solving, with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances and emerging challenges. Relevant certifications or professional qualifications that bolster underwriting proficiency and industry knowledge.
