Ph3Position Summary /h3 pThis role is responsible for providing strategic leadership in epidemiology at the above‑asset level and leading a global team of Vaccines and Infectious Disease (VID) epidemiologists who collaborate across the matrix to support key functions in RD, including clinical sciences, development, regulatory, and safety. The role requires deep expertise in real‑world data (RWD), cutting‑edge epidemiologic methods, and technology, and involves developing and implementing a range of epidemiologic studies and measurement strategies in support of investigational assets and marketed products. /p h3Key Responsibilities /h3 ul liProvide strategic leadership and direction for VID epidemiology across above‑asset and asset‑level matrix teams /li liLead and develop a global team of epidemiologists, ensuring delivery of high‑quality scientific outputs /li liOversee the design and execution of epidemiological studies, including observational and real‑world evidence studies /li liContribute to internal governance forums and shape epidemiology strategy at portfolio level /li liReview and guide epidemiology content for regulatory submissions, publications, and scientific presentations /li liEstablish and maintain external collaborations with academic, public health, and research organisations /li liDrive innovation through the development and implementation of new methodologies, tools, and processes /li liRepresent the organisation in interactions with regulatory authorities and at scientific conferences /li /ul h3Basic Qualifications /h3 ul liPhD, or MD with MPH, in epidemiology, public health, or a related quantitative field /li liExperience in epidemiology within the pharmaceutical industry, academia, or government setting /li liExperience designing and conducting observational or safety studies /li liExperience in vaccines or infectious disease epidemiology /li liExperience in people leadership or line management /li liExperience contributing to regulatory documents, scientific publications, or study reports /li /ul h3Preferred Qualifications /h3 ul liExperience leading complex epidemiology programs in vaccines or infectious diseases /li liExperience with post‑authorisation safety studies and regulatory expectations /li liDemonstrated ability to influence cross‑functional stakeholders and governance bodies /li liExperience applying advanced epidemiological methods in real‑world evidence generation /li liTrack record of peer‑reviewed publications or contributions to scientific conferences /li liKnowledge of regulatory and scientific landscape for RWE in vaccine or drug development /li liAbility to manage multiple high‑priority projects and deliver results in a matrix environment /li /ul h3Working Arrangement /h3 pThis role is based in the United Kingdom, United States, Amsterdam, or Belgium.
