Overview
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for an experienced and motivated Solution Architect Manager in Brazil to coach, grow, and partner with technically skilled, customer-facing Solutions Architects. You will help develop the industry’s best cloud-based solutions architects by enabling and coaching them on best practices, solution selling, presentation and speaking skills, as well as how to create and present architectures of widely varying size and complexity. In collaboration with the Brazilian Public Sector Teams, you will assist their efforts of qualifying and progressing for new business and acquiring a broad set of new customers in a diverse customer base. This role will be responsible for a team of Solutions Architects who will need to learn the breadth of the AWS platform quickly and each develop depth in one or more area. As their leader you must be passionate about developing these professionals and working to advance them into more senior and complex roles.
Responsibilities
* Hire, onboard, train, and develop new Solution Architects from internal and external sources.
* Act as a conduit and liaison between customers, service engineering teams and support.
* Build and coach the team on the skills needed to conduct one-to-few and one-to-many training sessions so they can transfer deep technical skills to customers who are considering or using AWS.
* Be passionate about developing talent.
* Apply relevant experience in design/implementation/consulting of distributed applications, infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking.
* Manage technical, customer-facing resources.
* Bachelor’s degree in computer science, math or related field.
* Fluent in English (reading, writing and speaking).
Required Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree
* 2+ years of architecting/operating solutions built on any cloud service provider (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP, OCI)
* Experience leading and growing teams of senior technology professionals, ideally in customer-facing roles
* 6+ years of technology solutions development and evangelising end-to-end technology roadmaps that guide IT transformations toward cloud computing
* 5+ years of enterprise IT application work that includes at least 2 years of hands-on software development or DevOps engineering experience
* 6+ years of people management experience
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience architecting, migrating, transforming or modernizing customer requirements to the cloud
