Make your mark in Actuarial
Our Actuaries are on the front lines, quantifying risk, pricing insurance and reserving losses for AIG’s major insurance operating companies, globally. We collaborate with Finance, Claims, Operations, Marketing and Risk Management, among other functions. As an AIG actuary, you will be challenged and encouraged to reach your greatest potential to help improve how we predict, manage and mitigate risk.
Main Responsibilities
* Support Commercial Lines, work closely with underwriting management to identify profitable new business, growth opportunities, and deviated portfolios, helping to define action plans needed.
* Business drivers monitoring: rate change, exposure change, premium change, rate adequacy, AvT, AvE. Create monthly and quarterly reports with business drivers and communicate results to each country. Prepare data/ppts for quarterly presentations.
* Claims analysis to spot trends, identify main drivers of LR and AvE, and analyze large claims to include impact on profit studies/country planner/budget.
* Support the International pricing team in the International raters updates, working together with them and local underwriting team to update local raters.
* Engage with international/global product and actuarial leaders, ensuring best practices within the region.
* Support the Brazilian product area during the creation and updating of actuarial technical notes for SUSEP.
* Experience in database design and management, with ability to build and structure data sets for statistical modeling and reporting.
* Hands‑on experience with Power‑BI for data visualization and reporting will be a strong asset.
What You’ll Need To Succeed
* Bachelor’s Degree in Actuarial Science
* Active MIBA
* Advanced English Skills (mandatory). Spanish is desirable.
* Senior experience in pricing/portfolio management for non‑life insurance.
* Experience with Actuarial Product Technical Notes for Brazil.
* Statistical modeling experience is desirable.
* Advanced Knowledge of Excel, SQL and Python. Power BI is a plus.
