Senior IT Project Manager – Transport Solutions
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior IT Project Manager to lead strategic optimization and modernization initiatives within a critical transport operations environment. The role focuses on driving functional, technical, and organizational improvements across a portfolio of business-critical applications while ensuring alignment between business, IT, architecture, and external partners.
Key Responsibilities
* Define and prioritize optimization initiatives based on business objectives and technology roadmaps.
* Lead complex IT projects involving application modernization, migration, and operational improvements.
* Manage project governance, budgets, risks, communication, and change management activities.
* Coordinate business stakeholders, technical teams, architects, and external suppliers.
* Negotiate and manage maintenance and service contracts with a long-term strategic perspective.
* Oversee project delivery from planning through implementation and transition to operations.
* Ensure alignment between business requirements, technical solutions, and operational objectives.
* Provide executive reporting and support decision-making processes.
Required Skills & Experience
* Proven experience managing complex, cross-functional IT projects.
* Strong stakeholder management experience across business and IT environments.
* Experience with budget management, supplier management, and contract negotiations.
* Expertise in modernization, migration, or legacy replacement initiatives.
* Good understanding of application integration and dependency management.
* Experience with change management, risk management, testing, and governance.
* Strong analytical, communication, and decision-making capabilities.
Preferred Experience
* Experience within the public transportation sector.
* Knowledge of transport operations, real-time control systems, regulation, or scheduling solutions.
* Familiarity with radio communication technologies and TETRA protocols.
* Experience with tools such as ServiceNow and Hastus is advantageous.
* Understanding of security, IAM, and GDPR principles.
