We are looking for a Linux System engineer, who will be part of the Sysadmins team and will ensures that the tailor-made solutions our client develops for their customers in the exciting world of railway infrastructure (train/tram/metro) work. You will be involved in a wide range of applications in different technologies (on premise, hybrid & cloud) that require a high degree of availability, continuity and security.
Task description
* Your tasks and responsibilities within this multidisciplinary team will be extremely varied, ranging from maintenance, installation and configuration of hardware and software to migration projects to new environments, testing and debugging, hardware and software updates and patches, infrastructure and data security...
* You will follow up on incidents, failures and modifications in order to keep the environment operational. As second-line support, you will take turns participating in an on-call service.
* As our team strives to work ever more efficiently and "state of the art", you will actively seek out new technologies and tools to achieve this goal. You will contribute to testing, documentation and implementation with a view to adding value to our operations.
* You will be based in our offices in the center of Brussels, but with regular remote and onsite interventions on the 31 different customer sites

2nd line System engineer
Must have knowledge :
* Very good understanding of Linux operating systems (Redhat) including scripting (bash and/or others)
* Very good knowledge of VMware, vSphere, vCenter, vMotion
* Must speak Dutch and French
* Experience with working in a High available production environment
* Basic knowledge of network administration: router – switch – VPN – firewall
Knowledge of the following domains is an asset:
* Veeam (setup, config and admin)
* Scripting (Bash / Python, …)
* Puppet (open source version) administration
* Nagios, Zabbix (administration)
* Openshift
* Elastic Stack (amongst others Kibana)
