About the Opportunity
We are currently seeking an experienced Senior ICT Network Engineer to join a leading technology organization in Leuven for a long-term assignment. This role offers the opportunity to work on large-scale enterprise network environments spanning campus, data center, and cloud infrastructures.
As a key member of the infrastructure team, you will contribute to the design, implementation, optimization, and transformation of mission-critical networking solutions, ensuring high levels of availability, security, and performance.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, implement, and maintain enterprise network infrastructures across campus, data center, and cloud environments
* Manage routing, switching, wireless, and firewall solutions
* Monitor, analyze, and optimize network performance and reliability
* Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues
* Execute lifecycle management activities, including upgrades, migrations, standardization initiatives, and technology renewals
* Support infrastructure transformation projects and new site deployments
* Collaborate closely with security, infrastructure, and project teams
* Contribute to network automation initiatives and operational improvements
* Maintain technical documentation and disaster recovery procedures
* Strengthen security controls and support continuous process improvement
Required Experience
* Minimum 5 years of experience in enterprise networking environments
* Strong expertise in routing & switching and wireless networking
* Proven experience with network monitoring, troubleshooting and performance optimization
* Solid understanding of network security principles: segmentation, firewall, Access control and Zero Trust
Technical Skills
* Experience with cloud networking technologies
* Knowledge of core network services: DNS, DHCP, IPAM, AAA, NAC
* Experience with network automation is considered a strong asset
* Knowledge of IT/OT networking environments (Purdue Model and IEC 62443) is a plus
