We're seeking a talented consultant to join our client's team for a short term mission (30 days), where you will play a crucial role in the development of a centralized digital tool for managing transportation authorization requests. Given the current reliance on outdated processes that complicate administrative management and field controls, this project aims to efficiently digitize processes that ensure public safety and operational legality.
Responsibilities And Role
You will undertake the design and development of backend systems that expose business rules and facilitate data access, as well as create a consultation tool for agents and a mobile application for field inspectors. This mission also includes integrating existing data flows, ensuring compliance with technical and security standards, and collaborating with stakeholders to translate functional needs into viable technical solutions.
* Design and develop:
o A backend that adheres to business rules and data access protocols
o A consultation tool for agents
o An Android application for field inspections
* Implement data migration processes and integrate new information related to authorizations
* Ensure adherence to defined technical and security standards
* Work closely with business stakeholders to convert functional requirements into technical solutions
Key Features and Deliverables
The application will enable users to efficiently introduce, process, and track authorization requests, check valid permits, and verify the legitimacy of operators and vehicles during inspections while maintaining an audit trail of decisions made. You will deliver an operational back-office application, a documented and secure API, and comprehensive reporting capabilities.
* Deliverables will include:
o An operational back-office application
o A structured and populated database

o Compliance with SPW audit requirements
o Power BI reports on transportation services
Profile of the Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in software architecture and a strong technical background in various programming and data management technologies. You should demonstrate practical problem-solving skills, effective communication, and the ability to work in multidisciplinary teams. Fluency in both English and Dutch is a must.
* Required technical skills and experience:
o Software Architecture (Senior level)
o Experience with Oracle databases and data migration
o Android development experience
o Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes
