The OCI Cloud Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and governing cloud infrastructure solutions on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) in support of Oracle SaaS ERP, PaaS extensions, and broader enterprise cloud workloads. The role ensures cloud solutions are secure, scalable, high performing, and aligned with enterprise architecture principles and Oracle best practices What you will have Architecture Design & Planning Define cloud architecture blueprints for infrastructure supporting Oracle SaaS, PaaS, and third-party integrations Design network topology, compartment strategy, IAM policies, Vcns, subnets, load balancers, bastions, and DR setups Implementation & Delivery Guide implementation teams on OCI service provisioning (Compute, Block/Object Storage, Adw, Oic, Functions, API GateWay, etc.) Support SaaS-PaaS integration patterns including connectivity to Oracle SaaS ERP through Oic, REST APIs, and Vcn peering Security & Compliance Implement OCI security best practices, including encryption, IAM controls, logging, and vulnerability scanning Ensure compliance with organizational security frameworks, regulatory needs, and Oracle's Cloud Controls Framework Automation & Optimization Define and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using TerraForm or Resource Manager Optimize performance, availability, and cost of deployed cloud resources Governance & Documentation Create architecture artifacts including HLD, LLD, runbooks, and operational models Support governance reviews, tagging policies, and chargeback frameworks Collaboration & Support Collaborate with application, data, and integration architects Act as escalation point for cloud infrastructure issues in development, testing, and production Key requirements 8-12 years of IT infrastructure or cloud experience, with at least 3 years on OCI Expertise in OCI networking, compute, Storage, identity, and monitoring services Solid understanding of Oracle SaaS integration patterns, PaaS deployment architecture, and cloud-native services Strong knowledge of TerraForm, OCI CLI, scripting (Shell/Python), and DevOps tooling Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
