Your role
Compressed air installations are often equipped with air treatment systems, in which compressed air filters play a crucial role in ensuring air purity in an efficient and reliable manner. Continuous product development and innovation are essential to achieving the ambitious growth targets set by the division.
As a Project Engineer, you will join a passionate and skilled team of experts dedicated to developing and sustaining cutting-edge filtration solutions. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting product development from the initial prototype phase through to serial production, following the CtP (Concept to Product) process. Working in an international environment where innovation and teamwork are at the core of everything we do, you will report to the Team Lead Filters and operate in a hybrid setup at our Wilrijk site.
Your responsibilities will include investigating project feasibility from all perspectives and defining the appropriate technical concept in line with the specifications and requirements outlined in the master specification. You will perform design calculations in accordance with best engineering practices and relevant standards, coordinate design-related tasks with designers and GECIA, and optimize designs in collaboration with suppliers, production, and service teams. Additionally, you will verify technical specifications, prepare functional specifications for various components, and monitor prototype construction while integrating feedback from testing. You will develop and evaluate prototype test programs, manage assigned subprojects independently within the product development scope, and ensure the release and maintenance of drawings and bills of materials within the Product Lifecycle Management system. Finally, you will be responsible for product follow-up after the start of series production, ensuring continued performance and quality.

* Solid general technical knowledge, theoretical and practical.
* Knowledge of project work within Atlas Copco (CtP) is an advantage.
* Master of science in mechanical engineering
* Willing to learn, easy to adapt new systems and processes
* Fluent in English
