ROLE POSITIONING /h3 pYou are a member of the executive team, responsible for the concrete execution, embedding and optimisation of SuReal's strategic decisions at the Belgian entity level. The role acts as the bridge between the two founders (CEO CTO) and the operational organisation — and is designed to evolve: as SuReal scales internationally, the MD Belgium is the natural candidate to step up to MD of the future Group. /p pWhat makes this role distinctive: /p ul liOperational leadership — day‑to‑day oversight of the team with a focus on quality and efficiency /li liPeople management — developing, coaching and retaining talent /li liFinancial performance tracking — understanding the numbers and acting on them /li liCommercial execution — active sales role and Key Account Management /li liScalable growth — professionalising processes to support the path to €28M group revenue by 2030 /li /ul h32. CORE OBJECTIVE /h3 pYou ensure that SuReal continues to grow as a professional, profitable and people‑centric business. In practice, this means: /p ul liStrategic decisions are effectively translated into action /li liBusiness Units operate autonomously, profitably and to a high quality standard /li liKPIs are systematically tracked and achieved /li liProcesses are standardised and made scalable /li liQuality, governance and compliance remain embedded /li liCommercial capability and recurring revenues are strengthened /li liFounders are maximally relieved of operational follow‑up /li /ul h33. SCOPE RESPONSIBILITIES /h3 h33.1 People Management Organisational Development /h3 ul liDirecting, coaching and reviewing Business Unit Leads, the HR Manager and the Knowledge Manager /li liProactively identifying HR needs in collaboration with BU Leads and HR manager /li liAccountability for FTE targets set out in the business plan /li liOptimising organisational structure, onboarding and training pathways /li liSafeguarding and strengthening retention and internal career development /li /ul h33.2 Sales Processes Commercial Execution /h3 ul liSales ownership: pipeline, conversion rates, lead follow‑up /li liOptimising sales processes, dashboards and accountabilities /li liSupporting BU Leads with large or complex deals, key accounts, framework contracts and public tenders /li liStandardising proposals, recurring services and commercial approach /li liPersonally executing sales and managing Key Accounts (with CEO support) /li /ul h33.3 Financial Steering Performance Management /h3 ul liAnalysis of project PLs, service PLs and people PLs together with BU Leads and CTO /li liEnd‑to‑end accountability for reporting on revenue, margins, costs, cash flow and debtors /li liTaking concrete action when results deviate from targets /li /ul h33.4 Project Oversight Quality Assurance /h3 ul liMaintaining a helicopter view of all client projects — detecting risks before they escalated /li liReviewing and approving contracts and commercial agreements /li liDriving standardisation of proposals, reporting and processes /li /ul h33.5 Other responsibilities /h3 ul liStrategic execution: following up on action plans, monitoring progress and ownership, driving key initiatives such as SuReal Academy and new services /li liLegal compliance: keeping the framework watertight as the company grows (contract and risk management, governance and reporting obligations) /li liMarketing: keeping the strategy on track regarding HR, PR and branding /li /ul h3Background Experience /h3 ul liMinimum 10 years of relevant experience (consultancy, management and growth), including at least 3–5 years in a senior operational leadership role /li liProven track record of building and managing teams within a consultancy firm, fast‑growing SME or scale‑up /li liExperience in sales leadership and Key Account Management in B2B professional services /li liFinancial acumen: comfortable with PL analysis and managing by numbers /li liKnowledge of sustainability or real estate sector is a plus, not a prerequisite /li /ul h3Competencies /h3 ul libExecutor — Entrepreneur /b: translates strategy into action and takes full ownership /li libPeople leader /b: inspires, coaches and has the courage to have difficult conversations /li libCommercial instinct /b: understands clients, spots opportunities and closes deals /li libAnalytical /b: steers on data without losing sight of the human dimension /li libStrong communicator /b: switches effortlessly between founders, team members and clients /li libHands‑on /b: thrives in a dynamic SME environment where no two days are the same /li /ul h3Languages /h3 ul liProfessional level of Dutch, French and English (Brussels working environment) /li /ul h3WHAT SUREAL OFFERS /h3 ul liA role with real impact in a knowledge‑intensive company operating in a high‑growth market /li liA clear growth path: COO from start — growing rapidly to MD Belgium.
