About The Role
We are seeking a dedicated Human Resources Coordinator to join our dynamic team at North Star Seafood, LLC. In this role, you will support the HR Business Partner (HRBP) in implementing local HR initiatives, ensuring compliance with employment laws, and fostering an inclusive workplace culture. Your primary responsibility will be to assist in executing core HR processes such as talent management, performance reviews, onboarding, and employee engagement programs. Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess 2-5 years of experience in Human Resources management or a related field. A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a closely related discipline is preferred; however, equivalent work experience and training will be considered. Certification from the Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI), such as PHR or SPHR, is a plus. Proficiency with HRIS systems and other people management tools is required. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple priorities are essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities
* Partner with the HRBP to execute core HR processes, including performance management, talent development, compensation, and training initiatives.
* Coordinate transactional HR activities such as onboarding new employees, conducting exit interviews, managing leave administration, and handling unemployment claims processes.
* Assist in reviewing, interpreting, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, as well as company policies and procedures.
* Maintain accurate personnel files, ensuring all active and terminated employee records are up-to-date and compliant with recordkeeping standards.
* Perform administrative duties including copying, filing, posting notices, scanning documents, and managing correspondence.
* Provide guidance and coaching to employees and supervisors regarding HR policies, procedures, and best practices. Conduct employee investigations and facilitate conflict resolution as needed.
* Support hiring managers and collaborate with Talent Acquisition to fulfill staffing needs and execute recruitment strategies.
* Assist in maintaining the e‑Time system and support payroll‑related activities to ensure accurate and timely processing.
* Contribute to fostering an inclusive and diverse work environment by supporting related initiatives and programs.
* Administer employee engagement programs aimed at enhancing job satisfaction and organizational culture.
