Forvis Mazars is a leader in audit, tax and advisory services, operating worldwide across 100 countries and territories. Join our 40,000 strong team to grow your career through global opportunities, diverse projects and continuous learning. Belong to a supportive environment where your unique perspective is valued and success comes from working together. Impact with your bold ideas and help drive us forward. About the role Numbers are your language, complex ones. You build models to quantify risk, stress-test assumptions, and make sense of the financial mechanics that sit underneath banks and insurers. Now imagine applying that rigour in a context where your work truly matters: validating whether institutions are sound, compliant, and well-governed. As a Junior Quantitative Auditor at Forvis Mazars, you will work at the intersection of advanced quantitative modelling and audit. You don’t need an accounting background, you bring the analytical firepower, and we’ll give you the audit framework to put it to work. This role is roughly two-thirds technical/quantitative and one-third audit — ideal for someone who loves the maths but wants to broaden their impact beyond pure modelling. What you'll work on: Risk quantification: Analyse credit risk, interest rate risk and market risk using sophisticated mathematical models Model auditing: Assess valuation models for derivatives, options and technical provisions at banks and insurers Regulatory compliance: Review compliance with banking and insurance regulations (Basel, Solvency II) and provide advisory support Client advisory: Translate complex quantitative findings into clear recommendations for financial institutions The Clients you'll work with Banks: Derivatives and options desks Credit risk departments Market risk and ALM teams Regulatory capital frameworks Who are you? Master’s degree in actuarial science, financial engineering, applied mathematics, or commercial engineering with a strong quantitative focus. Accounting backgrounds are less relevant here A genuine interest in financial risk, not just insurance or credit risk, interest rate risk and market risk are equally part of the picture Comfortable with complex mathematical models for risk estimation and valuation analysis If coming from an insurance background: experience or strong interest in the financial/investment side (ALM, Solvency II, derivatives) Curious about how a balance sheet works, what technical provisions mean, and how institutions manage financial risk Strong communicator — able to explain complex quantitative topics to non-specialists Fluent in French and/or Dutch, with solid English What we offer: Fast growth: Steep learning curve across banking and insurance from day one Professional development: Support for actuarial or financial risk certifications and continued education Expert team: Work alongside experienced actuaries, quants and auditors in a collaborative setting Competitive package: Market-aligned salary with benefits, tailored to your profile and ambitions Forvis Mazars Group SC is an independent member of Forvis Mazars Global, a leading global professional services network.
