Join our teams as HQSE Coordinator and participate in the continuous improvement of our operations across all our sites.
Primary role:
To steer and strengthen our HQSE initiatives by ensuring compliance, the reliability of indicators and the application of standards. You will assist Weerts Supply Chain in implementing best practices, support the teams and participate in our cross-functional continuous improvement projects.
Main responsibilities:
1. Quality management and compliance
* Manage and continuously improve the quality management system, while ensuring its dissemination and adoption within the company.
* Monitor regulatory and legal developments (ISO, HACCP, environment, etc.).
* Participate in the development, drafting and updating of procedures and operating methods.
2. Continuous improvement and performance monitoring
* Implement initiatives integrating quality, personal and food safety, environment and energy,
* Monitor HQSE indicators and contribute to their reliability,
* Lead and structure continuous improvement initiatives contributing to customer satisfaction and operational excellence.
3. Audits and risk management
* Organise internal and external audits and monitor corrective and preventive actions.
* Raise awareness and train teams in best practices.
* Coordinate HQSE initiatives with operations to strengthen a ‘Safety and Quality Culture’.
4. Operational support and awareness
* Design and lead projects related to Quality, Health and Environment, ensuring their end-to-end management.
* Guarantee quality excellence for customers and represent the company in key discussions.
Qualifications:
* A qualification in quality assurance (e.g. as an auditor) with some initial experience in health and safety and/or the environment is desirable,
* Experience in the logistics, transport or food industry sectors is an advantage,
* Knowledge of ISO standards and, ideally, HACCP standards,
* Ability to contribute to the monitoring of quality, safety and environmental standards, which is central to the role,
* The role is primarily based in Hainaut and involves acting as a back-up at the Tessenderlo site,
* French is the main working language. Professional proficiency in Dutch is required, and knowledge of English is an advantage,
* You will regularly be out in the field to support the operational teams,
* Proficiency in HSEQ tools and methods related to the analysis and monitoring of non-conformities is an advantage,
* Commitment to a continuous improvement approach; knowledge of or initial experience with Lean and Kaizen methods is an advantage,
* Rigour, organisational skills and an analytical mind.
