That requires trustworthy data, clear governance, compliant controls, and evidence that the environment is “AI‑ready.” As a consultant, you’ll guide AI readiness assessments for banks, insurers, and other financial players to build that evidence and strengthen the way they organise, protect, and leverage their data. /p pYou will shape the assessment, engage senior stakeholders, score maturity, and build the roadmap and operating model to unlock value from AI while meeting regulatory expectations. /p h3What will you do? /h3 ul liAdvise financial‑sector clients on modern ways to organise, structure, and improve how they work with data. /li liOwn and implement the assessment approach across Strategy, Governance, Data Quality, Lineage, Privacy/Security, and Analytics Enablement. /li liDesign and roll out practical frameworks for defining, documenting, securing, and using data consistently across the organisation. /li liDefine, govern, and oversee metadata capture, glossaries, and ownership using tools such as Collibra, Alation, or Purview. /li liTranslate regulatory policies (e.g., GDPR, BCBS239, DORA) into monitoring and data controls, including specifications for automated checks, profiling, and quality dashboards. /li liFacilitate workshops and stakeholder interviews (CxO to squad level) to identify use cases and assess data fitness, trust levels, and acceptance criteria. /li liDefine the Target Operating Model, including roles (data owners, stewards, AI ethics), processes (issue management, change, documentation), and RACI. /li liGuide the remediation roadmap (6–18 months), identify quick wins, set governance tooling strategy, prioritise implementation, and mentor junior consultants. /li liDeliver executive readouts and steerco materials, ensuring alignment across business, technology, risk, and compliance for sustainable adoption. /li /ul h3Your skills qualifications: /h3 ul liMaster’s degree in the field of Business, Economics, Management, Data management, IT or similar. /li liFluency in English and Dutch or French. /li li6 + years of experience in the Data Governance / Data Management domain in Financial Services, ideally with consulting experience. /li liKnowledge of Data Governance concepts (data catalogs, business glossaries) and tools (Collibra, Purview, Alation). /li liWorking knowledge of FS regulations (BCBS 239, GDPR, DORA…) in the context of data governance. /li liComfortable guiding teams across Data Governance activities. /li liCombining excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. /li liMastery of DCAM, familiarity with DAMA-DMBOK and AI governance standards. /li /ul h3What can you expect from us? /h3 ul liA competitive salary topped with a daily net allowance, meal and eco vouchers. /li liA flexible FIP budget for bike leasing, multimedia, or mobility expenses. /li liA company car with charging setup.
