Regional Financial Controller

The Regional Finance Controller plays a pivotal role in supporting the financial planning, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes for the Europe region. In addition, to provide invaluable support to the business units in executing transformational and strategic initiatives. This multifaceted position requires a seasoned finance professional with a deep understanding of business control, reporting, financial valuations and business modeling.


Key Responsibilities


Financial Reporting and Analysis:

* Support the regional financial reporting process, ensuring the accuracy of inputs from Business Units.
* Conduct in-depth financial analysis of the results and prepare monthly reports and presentations for regional management and the PSA Group.
* Tailor and customize KPIs and Performance Dashboards for effective reporting and monitoring.

Planning, Forecasting, and Budgeting:

* Take ownership of the planning, forecasting, and annual budgeting cycles for the region.
* Collaborate closely with PSA Group Accounting, business units, and the regional consolidation team to meet critical deadlines.
* Deliver comprehensive presentations, forecast, and budget reports that detail the business plan, strategy, and regional and business unit performance.

Project Involvement:

* Support in ad-hoc projects at the business unit level, which may include process improvements, operational synergies, business development, mergers and acquisitions, capital structure options, project financing, and internal control reviews.

Data Analytics:

* Spearhead data analytics initiatives for the region, identifying use cases and standardizing architecture and definitions
* Share best practices in data analytics across business units to drive continuous improvement of financial processes and reporting across the region.

Business Partnering

* Collaborate with business unit finance leads and operational teams, as well as with PSA Group functions, to ensure alignment between financial data, KPIs and business activity.

Meeting Preparation:

* Organize and prepare materials for various local and regional meetings involving the Senior Management Team of the region and the Group.

Systems Implementation:

* Assist in the implementation of financial and planning systems in the business units.

Delegation of Authorities:

* Facilitate the dissemination and application of Group Delegation of Authorities across business units in the region.



Management and Reporting Structure


The new Regional Finance Controller will join PSA Europe’s Regional Finance team that currently consists of 3 Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) members, and report directly to the Regional Finance Manager, who reports to the Regional CFO for PSA Europe.


The Regional Finance team supports the Business Units for high quality reporting and controlling processes, tools, procedures, governance and accountability across the Europe region. In addition, the team supports the Business Units with in-depth and highly involved key project support covering Business Development, Mergers & Acquisitions, Integration and Financing.


Candidate Profile

Education:

* Master's degree in Finance/Accounting, Business Administration, Business Engineering, or equivalent.


Experience:

* 3 to 7 years of work experience in Finance/Accounting, with a strong preference for substantial experience in business controlling.
* Previous experience in a Big-4 accounting firm is a valuable asset.
* Proficiency in financial valuations and business modeling.
* A deep passion for working with financial data and analysis.
* Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
* Prior experience with Power BI is advantageous.
* Experience in an international business environment is a plus.


Languages:

* Strong command of English, both spoken and written; knowledge of Dutch is a plus.
