About the Team
As a Network Engineering member in the Signalling functional area, you will propose, analyse and define requirements for new and existing services and systems related to the signalling routing area and subscriber data management systems.
Responsibilities include preparing, designing, testing and providing new solutions or product changes to the existing portfolio, supporting the technology evolution roadmap for the systems under the functional area, and collaborating with other functional areas on cross‑functional projects.
About the Role
* Collaborate with other Networks teams in defining and managing projects for the delivery of new solutions.
* Deliver projects, design networks, define integration and migration strategy, collaborate with relevant departments, and be responsible for end‑to‑end delivery.
* Design new consumer and corporate telecom solutions.
* Create and maintain technical documentation (HLDs, LLDs, WOs, etc.) throughout the solution lifecycle.
* Implement solutions in a live environment and understand end‑to‑end system testing requirements.
* Follow‑up and define quality and performance indicators.
* Perform capacity and performance analysis, reporting and define improvement solutions.
* Define and implement service and resource configuration on requested systems.
* Develop solutions that influence current product design and address design issues for future products or technologies.
* Maintain close relationships with external partners such as carriers and service providers.
* Elaborate and manage change‑request processes with partners to meet network necessities.
* Control the network elements roadmap, ensuring timely software/hardware upgrades during component lifecycle.
* Generate and implement process improvements, especially cross‑team processes.
* Document the existing technology portfolio and recommend improvements and alternatives.
Requirements
Must-haves
* Proven experience implementing live solutions on mobile telecom networks (GSM, UMTS, LTE, IMS), including network design, capacity management, engineering and architecture.
* Knowledge of 3GPP, GSMA, ITU standards and specifications.
* Experience designing, testing and operating signalling network functions (STPs, DEA/DRAs, HLR/HSS).
* Experience defining, establishing and maintaining signalling interconnects, SIGTRAN and DIAMETER‑based, using SCTP multi‑homing.
* Experience with HLR/HSS, subscriber profiles, repositories and reference interfaces.
* Knowledge of IMS architecture and its interaction with profile repositories.
* Experience in mobile services charging (online) and knowledge of Ro, Gy, Gx interfaces.
* Knowledge of signalling protocols and routing (M3UA, M2PA, DIAMETER, MAP, CAMEL, Sh, Cx).
* Knowledge of 5G SA networks, especially signalling (SCP, SEPP) and AUSF/UDM/UDR perspectives.
* Experience with protocol analyser tools (Wireshark, Astelia) to troubleshoot network errors.
* Experience with ETSI NFV architecture and solutions.
* Familiarity with MVNO/MVNE/MVNA architecture(s) and landscape.
* English proficiency mandatory; other languages advantageous.
* Degree in Telecom Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent experience.
Nice-to-haves
* Over 3 years of experience designing and implementing mobile core networks.
* Previous experience with Nokia, Oracle, HPE products.
