Key Responsibilities
* Oversee the execution of all sortation activities during the assigned shift, including inbound receiving, sorting, and outbound loading, in alignment with the Sorting Center's operational strategy.
* Manage the shift's workforce, including supervisors, equipment operators, and support personnel, ensuring appropriate staffing levels, task assignments, and performance monitoring.
* Implement and enforce safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment, operation of material handling equipment, and adherence to established procedures.
* Monitor and analyze key performance indicators during the shift, such as sortation throughput, quality metrics, and safety incidents, to identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies.
* Collaborate with the Sorting Center Site Manager, Capacity Planner, and other functional teams to address operational challenges, resource constraints, or equipment malfunctions that may impact the shift's performance.
* Lead the implementation of new technologies, automation solutions, and operational best practices within the shift, ensuring seamless integration and employee buy-in.
* Provide ongoing coaching, training, and development to the shift's personnel, fostering a culture of continuous learning, safety, and employee engagement.
* Escalate critical issues or significant deviations from the plan to the Sorting Center Site Manager, proposing solutions and mitigation strategies.
* Maintain accurate and timely documentation of the shift's performance, including labor deployment, productivity metrics, and incident reports.
* Serve as a subject matter expert and representative of the shift's operations, collaborating with other shift managers and the Sorting Center leadership team to drive continuous improvement.
* Stay informed of industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in sortation operations and workforce management to enhance the shift's performance.
Basic Qualifications
* Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
* Experience in managing teams.
* Bachelor's degree.
* Speak, write, and read fluently in Portuguese.
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience in performance metrics, process improvement, and Lean methodologies.
* Experience in English-language communication skills, both written and verbal.
