Junior Operational Analyst – English and French or Dutch - ALTEN Belgium
The Position
As part of our ongoing growth, we are looking for a Junior Operational Analyst to join our teams and work on client projects located in Brussels area.
As a Junior Operational Analyst, your main responsibilities will include:
* Monitoring and ensuring the smooth operation of industrial data management systems.
* Acting as a point of contact for end-users, managing incidents and providing first-line support on a rotational basis.
* Performing data source checks, system monitoring, and incident resolution.
* Assisting with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of servers, interfaces, and client software.
* Supporting users with data calculations, analytical models, and tag management.
* Participating in small-scale web and application development (e.g., .NET, HTML5, Python).
* Collaborating with cross-functional teams to maintain and improve system performance.
Your Profile
* IT-related background (education, experience, or strong interest).
* Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT, with knowledge of RDBMS, SQL, Web APIs, HTML5, Python, or Windows Operating Systems and infrastructure.
* Basic network knowledge and familiarity with real-time systems, SCADAs, or process historians are a plus.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate technical issues clearly to users and colleagues.
* Team player with a proactive attitude and a sense of responsibility.
Language(s):
* Dutch and French: One at a very good level, the other at a good level (willingness to use both).
* English: Very good.
