With assets under management in the multi-billion-euro range, SPDG is actively redeploying capital to build a diversified portfolio of long-term, influential investments aligned with structural macro trends.As part of this strategic chapter, SPDG is building an in-house public equity platform and is offering an Internship – Public Equity to support the development of this capability alongside the Senior Investment Manager and the broader investment team.The RoleWorking closely with the CIO and Head of Public Equities, you will gain hands-on exposure to the full investment process within a lean, entrepreneurial family investment environment. This internship offers a unique opportunity to contribute meaningfully to a public equity platform at an early stage of its build-up, while learning directly from experienced investors.Key responsibilities:Assist in the screening of active and passive investment fundsContribute to the monitoring of portfolio holdings, sector developments and macroeconomic trendsSupport fundamental research on listed companies, including financial modelling, valuation and peer analysisHelp prepare investment memos, portfolio reviews and presentations for internal stakeholdersMaintain and develop proprietary tools, databases and dashboards used by the investment teamProvide ad-hoc analytical support on strategic projects across the platformCandidate ProfileYou are a high-potential student or recent graduate with a strong interest in public markets, financial analysis and long-term investing. You are rigorous, curious and eager to take ownership in a small, high-standards team.Required qualifications:Currently pursuing or recently completed a Master's degree in economics, management, finance, engineering or a similar disciplineFirst exposure to public equities, equity research, asset management or institutional investing (through internships, academic projects or personal investing) is a strong plusSolid foundation in financial analysis, financial modelling and valuation techniquesStrong analytical, writing and synthesis abilitiesProficiency in Excel; familiarity with Bloomberg, FactSet or similar platforms is appreciatedFluent in English (French or German are a plus)High integrity, ownership mindset and entrepreneurial spiritDuration: 3 to 12 months, full-time Location: Brussels (HQ)
