You will join the Chief Technology Office (CTO), which is the key enabler of NATO's digital transformation. With the NCIA's architects and engineers, CTO is the hub for architecting and designing NATO's ICT technical landscape while driving innovation, standardization, and coherence across the Alliance. /p pThis opportunity is situated within the Architecting and Engineering (AE) Branch, which is responsible for the definition, design, implementation and continuous improvement of common architecting and service engineering practices throughout the NCIA to improve technical coherence and interoperability of C3 capabilities and ICT services for the NATO Enterprise and beyond. /p pWe are looking for a driven and enthusiastic Principal Service Engineer who will take on the following roles and responsibilities: /p ul liDefine and manage the definition and management of service engineering practices and standards to be applied across the NCIA and in all relevant services procured, owned or operated by the Agency; /li liProvide support and guidance to technical teams in Exercises and Operations, supporting the building of reusable exercise design building blocks; /li liCreate technology roadmaps which align NATO and Agency plans with emerging technologies; /li liUndertake impact analysis on major design options, make recommendations and assess associated implementation, life-cycle support and security risks; /li liSupport NCIA Technical Design Authority (TDA) and Programme TDAs in ensuring alignment with NATO Policies and Directives, Agency Directives and Standards and Enterprise Architecture; /li liProvide direction and guidance to technical teams with regards to Mission CIS (MCIS); /li liEnsure coherent technical design for Deployable CIS (DCIS), SATCOM, Maritime, SOF CIS and other Mission CIS related projects and Implementation programmes; /li liEnsure alignment between Deployable and Static capabilities, meeting interoperability and federation requirements; /li /ul pFor a full list of duties, please review the job description on the NCI Agency career site. /p h3About you: /h3 ul liA Master's degree at a nationally recognised/certified university in a related discipline and 5 years post-related experience.
