Overview
This finance firm is seeking a Private Equity Intern to join their Belgian investment team for a 4-month placement starting between September and December 2026. Based in private equity firm, you'll gain hands‑on experience working with one of Europe’s leading B2B SaaS and technology investors, supporting deal flow processes and portfolio company operations.
Key Responsibilities
Assist partners and investment team members throughout deal flow processes, from initial screening to negotiations with potential portfolio companies
Conduct valuation analysis and comprehensive assessment of potential investment opportunities
Perform detailed market, industry, and technology research and analysis
Proactively research market and industry trends to identify high‑quality private equity opportunities and management teams
Provide operational support to portfolio companies across online marketing, business development, and sales initiatives
Prepare investment proposals and presentations for both internal decision‑making and external stakeholder communications
Skills & Experience
Currently enrolled in a university program in finance, business, or engineering
Strong understanding of digital business models combined with analytical skills for data‑driven evaluation
Previous experience in private equity, growth equity, high‑growth startups, investment banking, or strategy consulting environments
Collaborative team player with ability to contribute positively to work environment
Fluency in Dutch and/or French with excellent English communication skills
Strong interpersonal and digital communication abilities
Ability to work from private equity firm office 3-4 days per week
