Job Description: Analytical Scientist

You will play a crucial role in analytical development from preclinical through to the launch and lifecycle management of marketed products, particularly focusing on Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) analyses and method transfer.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform NMR Analysis:
Conduct day-to-day NMR analysis to support various stages of product development, including comparing production across sites and ensuring consistency in quality.
* Ensure Testing and Documentation:
Oversee the release and stability testing of APIs, clinical batches (Phase I to III), raw materials, and degradation products. Maintain high-quality documentation for all technical work performed.
* Method Development and Validation:
Develop and validate fit-for-purpose analytical methods for APIs, drug products, and In-Process Control (IPC). Transfer analytical methods to CDMOs, QC, and manufacturing units.
* Collaboration and Reporting:
Actively participate in project meetings, provide data interpretation, and report findings. Communicate with teams across different sites, including occasional contacts with the UK and Swiss teams.
* Support Manufacturing and Supplier Changes:
Provide support in the event of manufacturing issues or changes in suppliers.
* Regulatory Compliance:
Work in a GMP-regulated environment, ensuring all tasks adhere to regulatory and safety standards.
Skills & Qualifications:
Required:
* Expertise in
NMR (Nuclear Magnetic Resonance)
: interpretation and hands-on instrument handling.
* Bachelor's degree with 4–8 years of experience, or a PhD with relevant experience.
* Strong motivation for laboratory work (approximately 80% of the time).
* Ability to work independently, manage scientific tasks, and solve technical issues.
* Flexibility and autonomy in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
* Team spirit
and excellent
communication skills
in English or French.
Preferred:
* Experience with
other analytical techniques
(e.g., mass spectrometry, IR, NIR).
* Knowledge of
GMP procedures
and regulatory environments.
* Experience in the
pharmaceutical or chemical industry

* Basic

communication skills for team meetings (not mandatory).

* Work Environment:
Laboratory-based (≈80% of the time), with occasional administrative tasks that can be done remotely (up to 1 day/week).

Small team (3 people + manager) with close collaboration with an experienced colleague (21 years of experience).
* Project Focus:
Main project involves the transfer of a product to the Bulle site and supporting manufacturing and supplier changes.
