As part of supply chain management, you are the global interface between the Vesuvius plant in Belgium, the intercompany customers in Poland, and the Czech Republic, our production and sales team and our suppliers of raw materials from, among others, China, Brazil, Europe, and other regions.You reliably and quickly ensure a smoothly functioning supply chain with a continuous flow of goods, thereby securing productivity, revenue, and cost-effectiveness as part of the Vesuvius team and actively contributing to the efficiency and competitiveness of our company.An opportunity has arisen for a Supply Chain Specialist/Demand Planning Manager, based in Ostend (Belgium),responsible for the production mix scheduling, stock management of raw materials and semi-finished goods to join the Supply Management team, reporting to the Plant Manager in Ostend in Belgium.Key Accountabilities/Key Responsibilities:Responsible for production mix scheduling based on Sales Requirements (SR) and Total Capacity (TC), and for converting production plans into raw material requirements within the Material Requirements Planning (MRP) processThe position holder plays a key role in strategic stock management for raw materials and semi-finished goods, back-up shipping (intercompany and international) and logistics to ensure an economical, transparent and demand-oriented supply for the organizationsupervisory responsibility for three direct reportsThe position focuses on continuously improving the demand planning and ensuring the timely delivery of raw material and semi-finished goodsClose collaboration with internal stakeholders and local suppliers, logistic partners and functional teams (e.G. production and sales) to define specifications, service levels and performance requirementsManagement and development of intercompany and supplier relationships to ensure quality, reliability and continuous improvementSupport of standardization, harmonization and continuous improvement of supply chain/logistic processesPreparation and analysis of reports, KPIs and management information for Supply Chain ManagementEnsuring compliance as well as contractual and process adherenceQualifications:Graduate or Master’s degree in a business-related field or completed commercial education with relevant further trainingMinimum 5 years’ professional experience in supply chain management or logistics or a similar role e.G.
