The Role:
As a Pipeline Engineer, you will work on underground pipelines for district heating, energy carriers, chemicals, drinking water, and wastewater. The focus is on large-scale engineering projects that contribute to sustainability goals in the Netherlands.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Perform route, strength, hydraulic, and geotechnical calculations.
2. Support lead engineers on multidisciplinary projects; lead small to medium-sized projects independently.
3. Coordinate with internal teams (designers, engineers) and external stakeholders (clients, municipalities, utility owners, contractors).
4. Prepare permitting documentation, cost estimates, material lists, and construction work packages.
5. Contribute to varied projects offering strong opportunities for technical and professional development.
Requirements:
6. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnics, or similar.
7. Several years’ experience in (underground infrastructure) engineering.
8. Knowledge of GIS, soil mechanics, fluid dynamics, and preferably finite element software.
9. Experience with software such as PLE, Ansys, Wanda (Heat), D-Geo, ArcGIS is a plus.
10. Strong communication skills in Dutch and English.
11. Experience coordinating designers or engineers is an advantage.
