The role would be as an AI Engineer where you'll join an exciting team based in Hasselt, you will be developing AI-powered products and data-driven solutions that help transform the energy sector.
What You'll Be Doing
* Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models to solve business and operational challenges within the energy domain.
* Build intelligent solutions for forecasting, predictive maintenance, customer analytics, demand prediction, workflow automation, and decision support.
* Develop and maintain AI-powered applications and services across cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
* Implement modern MLOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, model monitoring, governance, and scalable deployment infrastructure.
* Contribute to the development of Generative AI solutions, including LLM-powered assistants, RAG architectures, AI agents, and intelligent search capabilities.
* Collaborate with data engineers, software developers, product teams, and business stakeholders to deliver production-ready AI solutions.
* Continuously evaluate and optimise model performance to ensure reliability, scalability, and measurable business impact.
* Stay current with emerging AI technologies and help shape the company's AI strategy and innovation roadmap.
What We're Looking For
* 3–8+ years of experience in AI Engineering, Machine Learning Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
* Strong Python programming skills.
* Proven experience building and deploying machine learning solutions in production environments.
* Hands-on knowledge of machine learning frameworks such as Scikit-learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow, or similar.
* Understanding of data engineering concepts, including ETL/ELT processes, APIs, cloud-native architectures, and large-scale data pipelines.
* Experience with Generative AI, LLMs, vector databases, RAG frameworks, or AI agents is a strong advantage.
* Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* A genuine interest in applying AI to energy, sustainability, and digital transformation challenges.
