How You Will Create An Impact
* Manage reserve levels for insurance and reinsurance companies for Commercial and Consumer lines products.
* Define risk appetite (retention per risk) and capital levels (current and projected).
* Send the Annual Appointed Actuary Report to regulators, commenting on external actuarial audit reports.
* Advise management and Board of Directors on product profitability and remediation plans.
* Provide opinions and recommendations on the adequacy of underwriting policy.
* Contribute to effective implementation of risk management.
* Monitor portfolio performance and support remediation plans.
* Define budget loss ratio.
* Define technical provisions for local GAAP and US GAAP.
* Identify and investigate variances to financial plans and forecasts by interpreting financial results.
* Analyze quarterly studies of IBNR to manage loss ratios by product and help Profit Centers create action plans.
* Develop financial statements.
* Manage databases to measure performance and ensure accuracy.
* Prepare QA documents for closings to ensure compliance and meet expectations/timelines.
* Deliver ALM report to the Investment team.
* Support internal and external audit.
What You’ll Need To Succeed
* Bachelor’s Degree in Actuarial (Active MIBA).
* Experience leading teams.
* Advanced English skills.
* Capacity to enforce accountability and develop team strengths to ensure success.
* Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to present clear analysis and recommendations to senior management.
* Proven ability to dissect complex business issues, conduct research and analysis, and synthesize conclusions into a value‑maximizing strategy.
* Willingness to continuously learn and adapt in a dynamic, fast‑changing environment.
* Ability to dive into technical execution details, connect the dots, think strategically, and serve as a strong thought partner for cross‑functional leaders.
* Comprehensive awareness of the insurance business, regulatory environment, competitors, market cycle, technology, and legislative trends.
* Not afraid to take charge, overcome resistance to change, and take unpopular stands when necessary.
* Collaborative team player willing to support colleague development.
