The purpose of this role is twofold:
* To drive sales performance of a specific range of Advanced Wound Management products within a designated territory to achieve agreed targets.
* To act as Team Lead for a team of three Hospital Key Account Managers, ensuring consistent execution of the commercial strategy, high performance standards, and professional development within the team.

The role combines direct key account responsibility with hands-on leadership, coaching and coordination of the national Hospital Key Account Management team across Antwerp, Limburg, Leuven.
Individual Key Account Responsibilities
* Consistently achieve sales targets across the full AWM product portfolio within the assigned hospital territory and on national hospital level with a clear emphasis on the focus brands.
* Continuously develop key customer relationships and effectively plan and execute territory coverage.
* Agree and execute a Territory and National Business Development Plan together with the Sales Director.
* Align with the Sales Director on pricing strategy and tender positioning within the territory and on national level.
* Take ownership of pre‑tender preparation and support the tender answering process, including annual tender cycles.
Team Leadership & Coordination Responsibilities
* Act as day‑to‑day team lead for three Key Account Managers in Belgium.
* Ensure alignment of team activities with national sales strategy, commercial priorities, focus brands and ethical standards.
* Coach, guide and support team members in: Account planning and prioritisation, Sales execution and opportunity management, Tender preparation and follow‑up, Stakeholder management within complex hospital environments
* Lead regular team meetings to review performance, share best practices and align on objectives.
* Monitor individual and team performance against targets and KPIs, and proactively address gaps or development needs.
* Support onboarding and training of new team members when applicable.
* Act as first point of contact for operational questions within the team and escalate when needed.
* Collaborate closely with the Sales Director, providing structured feedback from the field and contributing to regional business planning.
REQUIREMENTS.
Experience
* Minimum 3–5 years of experience in sales or key account management within the medical devices
* Proven track record in hospital sales, tender management and strategic account development.
* Prior experience in coaching, mentoring or leading colleagues (formal or informal team leadership) is strongly preferred.
* Demonstrated ability to manage complex stakeholder environments.
* Selling skills training is advantageous.
* Operating theatre adviser accreditation is an advantage.
