As Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for the full-cycle accounting (“A to Z accounting”) of multiple legal entities located in Belgium, Switzerland, the UK, and the US. You will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and smooth day-to day financial operations within a highly international environment.
You will work closely with internal stakeholders, external accounting partners, auditors, and management.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Accounting & Financial Operations – 40%
* Process, verify, and control supplier and customer invoices
* Manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) activities
* Perform AP/AR reconciliations and follow-up on outstanding balances
* Review and process expense reports and apply company travel policies
* Prepare and post general ledger (GL) journal entries
* Ensure accurate month-end and year-end closing activities
* Reconcile balance sheet accounts and bank statements
* Manage intercompany transactions and reconciliations across entities
Reporting & Compliance – 30%
* Prepare monthly financial reporting packages and analyses
* Support budget tracking and financial performance monitoring
* Coordinate with external accountants, auditors, and tax advisors
* Ensure compliance with local accounting standards and internal controls
International Entity Management - 30%
* Handle accounting activities for multiple legal entities in:
* Belgium
* Switzerland
* United Kingdom – Support to the local accounting external firm
* United States – Support to the local accounting external firm
* Support international finance operations and process improvements
* Contribute to harmonization and optimization of accounting procedures across the group
* Direct involvement in the implementation of the Group ERP system
PROFILE
Education & Experience
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
* Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar accounting position
* Strong knowledge of Belgian accounting and VAT regulations
* Experience with multi- entity and international accounting environments is a strong asset
* Experience in a scale-up, biotech, medtech, or international SME environment is a plus
