Your primary objective will be to promote exports and attract foreign direct investment from Europe into Illinois. You will work closely with Illinois companies to expand their international reach, helping European firms explore investment opportunities in the state.
Key Responsibilities:
* Represent the State of Illinois in Europe, focusing on trade and investment opportunities.
* Develop strategies to promote Illinois exports and attract FDI.
* Provide market intelligence and support services to Illinois companies entering the European market.
* Identify potential European investors for establishing or expanding operations in Illinois.
* Organize trade missions, investment seminars, and networking events.
* Collaborate with U.S. and European government agencies, industry associations, and chambers of commerce.
* Prepare regular reports for the Illinois Office of Trade and Investment based in Chicago.
Requirements:
* Project management experience in international business and marketing.
* Experience working in international trade, foreign direct investment, economic development, or related fields.
* Fluency in English (reading, writing, and speaking).
