Finance Business Advisor – Wholesale Banking Internship Full‑time, Brussels, English. An intern will assist the Finance Business Advice (FBA) team in financially navigating wholesale banking operations through market changes such as interest‑rate adjustments, inflation, and geopolitical events. The role supports our team’s goal of providing strategic financial insights and practical advice to business and sector leads.
Role & Work Environment The FBA team supplies financial insight to wholesale banking clients and senior management in Belgium and the Netherlands. The internship involves reporting, analysis, forecasting, and supporting ad‑hoc financial projects. You will contribute to the forecasting process, develop financial plans for products, and drive initiatives to improve profitability and accuracy of management information.
Key Responsibilities Initiate and complete projects that improve processes through simplification or automation.
Provide financial results, presentations, and analysis to stakeholders.
Ensure high‑quality, first‑time‑right deliverables.
Build and maintain relationships within finance and business teams as a trusted advisor.
Identify ways to improve content and presentation formats in a fast‑changing environment.
Participate in budgeting, forecasting, and forward‑looking financial planning for a broad range of products.
Contribute to cross‑bank projects such as cost allocation.
Seek efficiencies in processes and enhance business‑relevant insights.
Qualifications Enrolled in a Master’s programme; the internship is part of the academic curriculum.
Analytical mindset with intellectual curiosity about banking and market trends.
Proactive, autonomous, and able to work flexibly under deadlines.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, and willingness to improve these skills.
